Lecture Overview
Dr. Ticker participated in Orlin & Cohen Orthopedic Group’s regularly scheduled series with a lecture as one of three speakers on shoulder instability treatment, prevention and rehabilitation titled, “Shoulder Instability: The First Time Dislocator”
The presentations include current concepts for the first time traumatic anterior glenohumeral dislocation. There is clinical and scientific evidence that surgical treatment for certain patients results in better short-term and long-term outcomes. How the determine which patients to indicate for surgical repair after a first time traumatic anterior glenohumeral dislocation is presented. Treatments for specific surgical pathologies are demonstrated. Principles for post-operative rehabilitation are outlined.
