Dr. Ticker presents arthroscopic repair techniques for the spectrum of rotator cuff and biceps tendon pathologies at UConn.

Dr. Jonathan Ticker recently spent time teaching and lecturing at the UConn Health Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, where he was invited by Robert Arciero, MD, Chief of the Division of Sports Medicine. During his visit, Dr. Ticker delivered four in-depth lectures to faculty and trainees, focusing on arthroscopic repair techniques across the spectrum of rotator cuff and biceps tendon pathology. Additional presentations explored the history of shoulder surgery in North America, along with practical, real-world approaches to patient care and insights from Dr. Ticker’s experience as an academic surgeon practicing in a private practice setting. The visit also included hands-on instruction in the UConn Bioskills Lab, where Dr. Ticker and Dr. Arciero worked directly with orthopaedic residents to teach advanced arthroscopic techniques. The educational exchange underscored a shared commitment to advancing surgical education and improving patient outcomes through innovation and mentorship.
