Dr. Jonathan Ticker was at Northwell Health’s 15th Annual All Things Orthopedics 2026, State of the Art: Innovation & Evidence conference, Orlin & Cohen physicians played a key role in advancing discussion around complex shoulder care.

The meeting, co-chaired by Drs. Nicholas Sgaglione and Steven Rokito, brought together leaders in orthopedic surgery for a comprehensive review of emerging techniques and evidence-based practice. During the session titled “Massive Rotator Cuff Tears: Scaffolds, Transfers, Reverses,” Jonathan Ticker, MD, served as co-moderator, while Jamie Misegades, DPT, participated as a panelist.

Together, they presented and discussed challenging clinical cases, offering both the shoulder surgeon’s and shoulder physical therapist’s perspectives on the management of massive rotator cuff tears. Their collaborative approach highlighted the importance of surgical decision-making, biologic augmentation, tendon transfers, reverse shoulder arthroplasty, and comprehensive postoperative rehabilitation strategies.

The session engaged an audience of more than 400 attendees, reinforcing the value of multidisciplinary collaboration in optimizing outcomes for patients with complex shoulder pathology.
